Student Ambassadors are current MA students in the study of Political Science who volunteer approximately 25 hours throughout the school year to help with student recruiting efforts for the Office of Political Science, Rutgers University. These student leaders serve as a crucial point of contact for prospective students through email, phone calls, and various outreach events. The vision of this program is to cultivate transformative experiences, promote leadership skills and challenge students to be their best at Rutgers and beyond.
Rutgers Political Science students apply and are hand selected for their leadership qualities, academic achievements and initiatives in the study of politics, global policy and international affairs. The UNMA program offers a master's degree with a concentration in the missions of the United Nations, Global Policy Studies and several specialty areas of study. The Student Ambassador program has a mission to prepare exceptional students for future careers and initiatives to make the world a better place. This unique program believes in the Rutgers mission to "Create innovative learning opportunities, programs, and services that prepare students to lead, serve, and become engaged members of a global society". Students work directly with their program administrators in various Rutgers initiatives, meetings (some Virtual) and outside campus events.
