    Bella Canale is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at Rutgers University. Her work spans several areas, including women and politics, political theory and comparative politics. Her research focuses on the ideological heritage of the modern far-right; in particular, she seeks to analyze the nexus between far-right political ideologies, conceptions of gender and thoughts on the environment, particularly in the era of modern climate change.

    Bella received her B.A in Political Science and Global Studies form the University of South Carolina in 2021 and her M.A. in International Relations from New York University in 2023. She has also spent time studying at Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies.
