Ayisha Heuerding (she/her) is a PhD student studying the politics of justice, legacies of colonialism, and sexual and gender-based violence against Women of Color. Ayisha is completing a degree certificate in Africana Studies as part of her doctoral studies.
Before coming to Rutgers, she received a BS and MS degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam with specializations in International Relations, Conflict Studies, and Gender and Sexuality studies.
