    Paulette follows a hybrid schedule, working remotely on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on-site on the 5th floor for the remaining days of the week.

Paulette May Flowers Yhap is a seasoned higher education professional with over 40 years of experience across banking, insurance, health services, government, and education. She began her career at the College of Arts, Science and Technology in Jamaica and later earned an AAS from New York City College of Technology before pursuing a BA at Baruch College (CUNY).

Before joining the Department of Political Science, she worked at Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Education in the Office of Continuing Education and Global Programs (CEGP). Paulette has dedicated 19 years to supporting graduate and undergraduate education, notably as a founding staff member of the UNMA master’s program. Her expertise spans admissions, student services, advising, recruitment, and operations. She was honored with the Rutgers Graduate School–New Brunswick Staff Excellence Award in Administration (2014–2015) and was nominated again in 2021.

She currently organizes, coordinates, and administers the PhD graduate program and leads recruitment for the UNMA master’s program.
