BIO:
Baran Aktas is a Master of Arts Candidate in the United Nations and Global Policy Studies (UNMA) Program in Political Science at Rutgers University. His main academic focuses are Democracy, Environment, Suitable Development, Energy and Political Economy.
Baran graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rutgers University in May 2020, where he majored in Political Science and minored in the Classics. He graduated as Magna Cum Laude honors and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha. Outside of School Baran has interned with the Greenwich Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce as a Policy analyst.
Following Graduation, Baran is interested in working as an environmental/ sustainability policy analyst. Besides English, Baran also is proficient in Turkish. His hobbies include reading about history and philosophy, he is also a Sunday League Soccer Player. Baran is a passionate learner who is motivated to bring his knowledge and skills to help combat climate change and promote sustainability in the world.
