Themistoklis is a master’s degree candidate in the United Nations and Global Policy Studies (UNMA) program at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. His main research-academic focuses are conflict resolution, cybersecurity, counter terrorism, strategy, Sino American strategic competition, space, strategic culture, military and diplomatic policies and civil-military relations.
Themistoklis, is member of many research institutes on the field of IR including the Institute of International Relations, the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists (HAPSc), Athens, Greece, and the Association of Political Scientists (APS), New York, NY. He is a retired Officer of the Hellenic Navy with seventeen years’ experience in multinational naval missions across the world. Themistoklis has worked as a research assistant, focusing on strategic culture and international relations.
Following graduation, Themistoklis is interested in a career in the private sector as an international relations/political analyst or in academia as a researcher. Throughout his professional life and studies, he has found time to indulge into his hobbies, writing, reading, cooking, landscape photography and travelling. He is about to publish his first novel which was written during the strict lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019. Themistoklis is a passionate learner, disciplined and highly motivated to bring his knowledge/skills from Rutgers University to the fast changing hype globalized World.
