• Fatima Jalloh

Fatima Jalloh is a Master’s degree candidate in Political Science-United Nations & Global Policy Studies with a concentration in Globalization, Social Entrepreneurship & Responsible Business Practices at Rutgers University. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs and a minor in Criminology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. While at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Jalloh interned as a Program Associate at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C.. While working at the National Defense University, Jalloh was a student at The Washington Center. Jalloh is an exceptional young woman who is graduating in May from the UNMA program.

Jalloh was born in Sierra Leone and came to the United States at the age of eight as a refugee. She left for safety issues, as you might imagine. Most of her family remains in Sierra Leone. She traveled to Sierra Leone during the Fall Semester 2021 to volunteer for non-profit organizations. Jalloh is fluent in Fulani, a language spoken by more than sixty-five million people. She also has knowledge in Spanish. During the 2020 Presidential election, Jalloh volunteered with the Edison Research calculating exist polls across Warren County, New Jersey.

Jalloh is humble and incredibly committed to not losing sight of her goals. In short, she is not your typical graduate student. In the future, Jalloh hopes to work for the Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer. She enjoys interacting with people, handling responsibilities, and building positive relationships with her colleagues at all levels.
