• Ajani Phillips

Ajani Phillips entered the program with deep interests in social entrepreneurship, culture, and policy. During his time in the UNMA, Ajani has taken great influence from Theories & Methods in Global Affairs, Political Risk Analysis and Business Intelligence, and Politics, Economics, and Security in East Asia. Ajani has attempted to implement his studies in the number of professional roles he held. As a program manager with Junior Achievement of New Jersey, Ajani worked directly with students from all over the state to teach financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

Seeking a greater challenge, Ajani transitioned to Assistant Project Manager with a small Construction and General Contracting company in New York. It was Ajani’s goal to not only help E.J. York Inc. restart its business but learn about a number of sustainability practices occurring in the construction and real estate space. Most recently, Ajani is working as a contract Benefits Counselor with Aon and has accepted a full-time role as an Area Manager at Amazon.

Ajani still has deep aspirations as an entrepreneur and will promote sustainability through the theory of Ubuntu within his role at Amazon. In his free time, Ajani is an avid brainstormer, reader, and lover of health & wellness.
