Honoring Wilson Carey McWilliams (politial science professor, posthumous)

The event will be held at the Rutgers Club, 199 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ (near Huntington Street and across from Buccleuch Park). Here is a Rutgers map with a photo of the building: Rutgers Club is at one end of College Avenue, the opposite end of the campus from the Rutgers Bookstore and Old Queens. Parking at the Rutgers Club lot is free for guests attending an event there.

The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m., starting with a buffet dinner and dessert from about 6:15 to 7:20.

Then there will be a few minutes of opening remarks, followed by the main event, honoring (in the order listed):

Wilson Carey McWilliams (political science professor, posthumous)

Robert Bertrand, LC’01

Kenneth Cop, LC’95

Deborah Stokes, LC’74

Each of the four presentations will consist of an LAA board member making a quick introduction of the nominator, then a short video interview, followed by the nominator making the presentation and the nominee accepting. We’ll have an official photographer taking photos during the presentations at the front of the room. These will be posted online and downloadable as needed.

The end of the evening will feature a few remarks and announcements, followed by time to take group pictures (first by the LAA photographer, then as you wish); the drapes at Rutgers Club make a nice background. (Remember to take off your name badges for pictures.) Also, feel free to share your photos with us on Facebook ( and Twitter (@livingstonalum).

There are also a few surprises in store.

We look forward to seeing you Tuesday evening!
