Assistant Professor

The Department of Political Science at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Race, Ethnicity, and Politics to begin fall 2012.

The position is open with respect to specialty and methodological approach. We are especially interested in receiving applications from candidates who will conduct research in and teach the undergraduate and graduate levels about the relationship between racial and ethnic politics and American Political Institutions.  PhD required in Political Science or related field.  The Political Science department is very strongly committed to increasing the diversity of our faculty and welcomes applications from women and historically underrepresented populations.   As one of 34 public US institutions that belong to the Association of American Universities, Rutgers is among the leading research universities in the US and Canada.
