Strategic Thinking for Any Career: Minor in Political Science

Minoring in Political Science offers students a deeper understanding of how governments function, how policies are made, and how power is distributed and exercised across societies. It equips students with the tools to critically analyze political systems, ideologies, and institutions—both domestically and globally. The minor fosters informed citizenship, helping students become more engaged and thoughtful participants in democratic processes.

Beyond career preparation, a Political Science minor enhances essential skills such as critical thinking, persuasive communication, and analytical reasoning. Students learn to evaluate arguments, interpret data, and understand the historical and philosophical foundations of political thought. These skills are transferable across a wide range of professions and academic pursuits. Whether you're majoring in economics, sociology, history, or even STEM fields, adding a Political Science minor can broaden your perspective and deepen your ability to engage with the world’s most pressing issues.
