Course Description:

This course will provide a general introduction to the study of law and society. Scholars have examined a wide range of approaches in thinking about the interrelationship of law and society, including, but not limited to, the nature of law, crime and punishment, the "adversary ethic, “morality, race, feminism, and dispute resolution. We will study a variety of these themes, with a special emphasis on social justice.
