Synopsis: This seminar is designed to examine ethnoreligious conflict in its various manifestations worldwide, principally focusing on the sources of ethnic or identity conflicts. Civil wars, international wars, ethnic cleansings, terrorism, and genocide are analyzed with a view to understanding their ethnoreligious components. Why do these conflicts occur, and do we know enough to suggest ways of preventing them?
