Effective with the Fall 2007 term, the following Political Science courses have been renumbered:

What does this mean for me?

  • If you have successfully completed 790:210 Comparative Politics you are NOT permitted to enroll in 790:103 Comparative Politics. You CANNOT receive credit for BOTH 790:210 Comparative Politics AND 790:103 Comparative Politics.
  • If you have successfully completed 790:201 American Government you are NOT permitted to enroll in 790:104 American Government. You CANNOT receive credit for BOTH 790:201 American Government AND 790:104 American Government.
  • If you have successfully completed 790:247 Law and Politics you are NOT permitted to enroll in 790:106 Law and Politics. You CANNOT receive credit for BOTH 790:247 Law AND Politics and 790:106 Law and Politics.
  • If you have successfully completed 790:210 Comparative Politics you have successfully fulfilled the graduation major requirement that you successfully complete an introductory course in Foreign and International Politics. You do NOT need to take 790:102 Introduction to International Relations or 790:103 Comparative Politics.
  • If you have successfully completed 790:201 American Government you have successfully fulfilled the graduation major requirement that you successfully complete an introductory course in American Institutions and Politics. You do NOT need to take 790:104 American Government or 790:106 Law and Politics.
  • If you have successfully completed 790:247 Law and Politics you have successfully fulfilled the graduation major requirement that you successfully complete an introductory course in American Institutions and Politics. You do NOT need to take 790:104 American Government or 790:106 Law and Politics.

IMPORTANT ADVISORY CONCERNING 790:105

The Political Science Department will no longer be offering 790:105 American Politics: Public and Private. If you have successfully completed 790:105 American Politics: Public and Private you have successfully fulfilled the graduation major requirement that you successfully complete an introductory course in Theoretical Approaches to Politics. You do NOT need to take 790:101 Nature of Politics.
